The zany, crazy, off-the wall spoof of every 1930's Ruby Keeler musical movies, captured perfectly here, all the razzmatazz, jazzy and the supreme innocence of the genre by this cult musical. DAMES AT SEA tells the story of Ruby, the out-of-town sweetheart, who bravely takes over the lead in a musical at a moment's notice. Of course Ruby meets the boy, going on stage, loses the boy, becomes a star and finally gets the boy and they live happily ever after….. The all star cast of the recent British production includes Sandra Dickinson (recently appeared in the Royal National Theatre award winning production of Tennesse Williams' lost play 'Not The Nightingale') Brian Cant (TV star) and Josephine Blake (who also appears on JAY's THE RINK and SWEET CHARITY). DAMES AT SEA is a perennial favourite with stock and amateur theatre companies throughout the country and should be very popular as with other JAY releases such as JACQUES BREL IS ALIVE AND WELL AND LIVING IN PARIS and SNOOPY.
