To follow the release of "Divorce Me, Darling!" JAY Records starting to make the story complete with this recording of the "The Boyfriend". Sandy Wilson’s "Valmouth" is scheduled for release next year to complete his series of work.

This perennial favourite musical "THE BOYFRIEND" is set in the early 1920’s includes such songs as "Won’t You Charlston With Me", "I Could Be Happy With You" and "A Room In Bloomsbury". A huge hit at it’s release the show continues to be a popular choice in regional theatres for it’s clever and amusing score.

The Boyfriend was successfully filmed by Ken Russell, starring Twiggy and Tommy Tune, for MGM.

This is the only stereo and first digital recording available on CD.
