The wonderful and versatile Judy Kaye does the impossible and
makes this Annie all of her own. She is partnered by Broadway
and Hollywood star Barry Bostwick. Barry manages to make Frank
Butler a flesh and bone character rather than the usual "carboard
cut-out" support of Annie.
The decision to record the first complete recording of the Lincoln
Center version was influenced by the fact that Irving Berlin personally
supervised this edition and more importantly, the complete set
of the original orchestrations by the wonderful Robert Russell
Bennett exists intact whereas the original Broadway version doesn't.
Hit songs include:
They Say It's Wonderful,
Anything You Can Do,
There's No Business Like Show Business
I got The Sun In The Mornin'.
