Susan Egan is currently shocking audiences
as the steamy and sarcastic Mary Campbell on the WB sitcom Nikki,
and just completed production in the leading role of Disneys
TV movie Gotta Kick It Up. Last year she received outstanding
critical acclaim on Broadway as Sally Bowles in the hit revival
Cabaret at Studio 54. She has also starred on Broadway opposite
F. Murray Abraham and Betty Buckley in Triumph of Love, in State
Fair, and most notably as the original Belle in Disney's Beauty
and the Beast, for which she received Tony and Drama Desk nominations
for "Best Actress." She traversed the country as Kim
MacAfee in the national tour of Bye, Bye Birdie with Tommy Tune
and Ann Reinking, and reprised her role of Belle for the Los Angeles
premiere of Beauty and the Beast. Susans regional credits
include: Putting It Together opposite Carol Burnett (Mark Taper
Forum), Hello Again (Blank Theatre Co.), Nellie Forbush in South
Pacific (The Hollywood Bowl), and The Sound of Music, Singin
In the Rain,, Singin In the Rain, Baby, No, No Nanette,
My One and Only, The Boy Friend, Sunday In the Park With George,
and 42nd Street.
On film, Susan Egan was the sultry voice of Meg in Disney's Hercules,
sang the role of Angel in Lady and the Tramp II, and has starred
in several independent films including Man of the Century, Kiss
and Tell, and the upcoming scare flick Extreme Close Up. Additional
television credits include guest starring on Party of Five, Drew
Carey, Almost Perfect, Partners, All My Children, Loving, and
Great Performances: Rodgers and Hart.
Susan has been the guest soloist for dozens of symphony orchestras
across the country, and can be heard on several recordings for
Fynsworth Alley, JAY Records, the Broadway cast recordings of
Beauty and the Beast and Triumph of Love, and the motion picture
soundtrack of Disneys Hercules and Lady and the Tramp II.
Watch for her debut solo album, Susan Egan, So Far... on JAY Records,
which will be released in stores in March 2002. Susan has also
just created a compilation CD, All That and More, that includes
of her Fynsworth recordings plus two bonus tracks, which is available

Susan is a Southern California native and attended the Orange
County High School of the Arts and UCLA, where she received a
Carol Burnett Award in Musical Theatre. Her free time is spent
lounging with Willa-the-Wonder-Dog and reading everything in sight.
